THE Pavao String Quartet returns to Malvern Theatres following an impressive performance at last year's Malvern Piano Festival.
Formed 10 years ago at the Royal Academy of Music, their latest appearance comes at 7.30pm on Saturday in the Festival Theatre as part of the Malvern Contemporary Arts Festival.
Their programme begins with noted film composer Michael Nyman's In Re Don Giovanni, followed by Shostakovich's String Quartet No.10, John Adams's Fellow Traveller and tangos by Astor Piazzolla.
The quartet recently played on Eric Whitacre's Grammy Award-winning album, Light & Gold, and has recorded with the likes of Elaine Paige, Hayley Westenra, Bryn Terfel and Aled Jones.
