STUDENTS from Dodderhill School, Droitwich,have taken the top spots in a regional photography competition.
Year six pupil Maanvi Jain, aged 10, from Droitwich, won the primary age group category in the Worcestershire Young Photographer of the Year contest. Nine-year-old Daisy Lane, from Bromsgrove, a year five pupil at the school, was also one of three runners-up. The competition attracted more than 500 entries from across the county.
Both girls will now have large professional prints of their photographs produced and their images will be printed in the Worcestershire Young Photographer of the Year Book, as well as securing workshop places with a professional photographer.
Meanwhile, Jessica Mason in year 11 was shortlisted in the upper secondary category.
Cate Mawston, head at Dodderhill School, said: “It’s great news to see our students doing so well in a regional competition.
