A DOG and five guinea pigs were rescued from a house fire in the grounds of Malvern College.
The animals were saved when two crews from Malvern and two from Worcester attended the incident at a residential property just off Thirlstane Road at 4.25pm on Good Friday (March 29).
Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one covering jet, two hose reels and thermal imaging equipment to tackle the blaze which started in a first floor bedroom.
The fire, which is believed to have started accidentally on the school's College Road site, was confined to the first floor and put out by 5.22pm the same day.
