A FIRE broke out in a deep fat fryer at Cob House Fisheries in Wichenford this morning.
Three crews from Worcester were set to the scene at ust before 8.15am and found a fire in the fryer of the restaurant kitchen.
Four firefighters in breathing apparatus tackled the fire and brought it under control with two hose reel jets, a covering jet and four carbon dioxide extinguishers used.
Station commander Phil Griffiths from Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said: “Fire damage at the premises was confined to the fryer itself with some smoke damage in the kitchen as well.
"Despite this, Cob House is expected to open for business as usual later this morning, although the hot food menu is likely to be restricted.”
The stop message was given at 9.15am.
