AFTER they’ve eaten the chocolate eggs, scoffed the hot cross buns, played with the newborn lambs and been to church, children will still have one more attraction this Easter.
Because on Thursday, April 4, CountryTastic returns to the Three Counties Showground at Malvern with another year of countryside fun and mayhem.
Now entering its sixth year, the event has built up an audience attracted to the free hands-on activities and intimate nature of the increasingly popular event.
Filling a corner of the 60-acre site with indoor and outdoor activities, this dedicated children’s event promises a full day of entertainment and action for all ages.
The emphasis for this year’s event will be on the colourful world of wildlife and nature.
The Showground Lake, reached by a short tractor ride, will be buzzing with nature activities, including den building, forest school workshops and the mysterious Wild Man of the Woods storyteller.
There will be plenty of animals to meet and greet and owners ready to answer visitors’ questions.
Apart from the mix of animals and activities, Xtreme Falconry and the Paws for Thought dog display team will be providing entertainment in the Wag and Bone Ring.
Show regular Adam Henson, the popular rural TV presenter, will be sharing his knowledge and farming tips when he commentates on the animal parades throughout the day.
He said “I think CountryTastic is an absolutely fantastic event and is obviously going from strength to strength. The atmosphere is magical and there’s a huge buzz about it. It’s really important now that young people and their parents get connected with the countryside, food and British farming and really understand the importance of it all.”
CountryTastic takes place on Thursday, April 4, from 10am to 5pm, at the Three Counties Showground, Malvern. Tickets cost £6 each, three-year-olds and under free. For more information visit CountryTastic.co.uk or call 01684 584924
