TALENTED youngsters at a Droitwich school raised more than £1,500 for the NSPCC by holding a sponsored maths challenge.
The boys and girls from kindergarten to year six – aged two to seven – at Dodderhill School raised £1,504 for the children’s charity. In total, 100 pupils took part in the maths challenge which boosted the curriculum activities.
The children had to learn their times tables, complete a maths paper and they were sponsored by friends and family for every question they got correct.
Headteacher Cate Mawston said: “This was a fantastic opportunity to not only give the children an incentive to learn, but to also raise lots of money for a worthy charity.”
