CONTROVERSIAL comic Jim Davidson played to a sold-out crowd in Worcestershire last week despite his arrest over new sexual offence claims.
Davidson performed to a crowd of 248 people at the Regal Tenbury last Friday as part of his You Must Be Joking tour.
The 59-year-old comic was answering bail last Wednesday at a London police station when he was "further arrested on suspicion of sexual offences" said Scotland Yard.
He "vigorously denies" the allegations.
Chris Davis, chairman of The Regal Tenbury Trust which runs the venue, said: “He had a fantastic response from the audience.
“I’ve been to see him before and the reaction was as good as I’ve ever seen.
“There was a varied audience, everyone came and enjoyed the show."
Tickets for Davidson’s show at Evesham Arts Centre on Friday are selling well.
