PUPILS from Worcestershire who are at risk of underachieving at school have been given a boost thanks to a grant from the Freemasons’ Grand Charity.
The grant will help to fund a Prince’s Trust xl programme for special clubs that support pupils aged 13-19 who face falling behind or exclusion.
John O’Reilly, regional director of the Prince’s Trust in central England, said: “At the Prince’s Trust, we meet young people every day who believe they have no future. We think they are wrong.
“Thanks to the Freemasons’ Grand Charity, we will be able to transform more young lives, helping young people to re-engage with education and work towards a brighter future.”
A spokesperson from the Freemasons’ Grand Charity said: “Too many young people in Worcestershire are at risk of exclusion or underachievement at school, which could take a damaging toll on their future prospects.
The Freemasons are keen to help tackle this problem by boosting the vital work of the Prince’s Trust xl clubs here in Worcestershire.”
