FUND-RAISERS from a recruitment firm won’t be accepting half measures as they prepare to do the Full Monty and raise £10,000 for charity.
Male staff from Worcester company First Personnel, in The Butts, are planning to bare all to raise money for Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
They chose the cause in memory of Charlie Harris-Beard, the two-year-old who lost his brave battle against leukaemia.
Charlie was cared for at the hospital and Danny James, a senior recruitment worker at First Personnel, said they had wanted to come-up with an eye-opening idea that would grab people’s attention.
“Everybody does bike rides or things like that so we wanted to do something that is not done very often, certainly in Worcester,” he said.
“Charlie’s story really touched us and we wanted to help others that may encounter this horrible illness during their lifetime.”
They are planning to make the one-night-only event one to remember, with a host of bands and DJs alongside the main event. The staff are holding the fund-raiser on Saturday, June 29, at the University of Worcester’s student union bar, which has been donated for free.
All ticket sales and proceeds from the night will be donated to the hospital and First Personnel will be doubling whatever the lads manage to raise.
Tickets cost £10 and are available from the student union bar, by calling in at First Personnel, or by calling 01905 611000.
