A WOMAN was flown to hospital after she suffered serious burns.

West Midlands Ambulance Service and Midlands Air Ambulance were called to Elmley Castle near Pershore at about 2.20pm on Monday.

Crews from Pershore, Evesham and Broadway fire stations also attended and put out a fire in a shed.

An ambulance service spokesman said they treated a woman in her 40s for serious burns to her chest and face.

She was then flown by an air ambulance from Strensham to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. Her condition is not known.
