THE University of Worcester has been shortlisted for a prestigious award.
It is in the running to be named Nurse Education Provider of the Year by specialist newspaper the Nursing Times.
The university, which is currently ranked number one inthe UK fornursing ina National Student Survey after receiving a 100 per cent satisfaction score, is one of just five universities to make the mark.
The winner will be announced on Wednesday, May 1.
Professor David Green, the university’s Vice Chancellor, said: “Thanks to the outstanding work of the university’s specialist nursing staff, together with our partners in the Health Trusts in Herefordshire and Worcestershire, we have earned the reputation as one of the very best educators of nurses in the country.
“Our nursing students are very carefully selected for their ability to become outstanding caring, compassionate professionals.”
