A TEENAGER was attacked with a bottle at Tramps nightclub in Worcester in the early hours of Tuesday morning after trying to stop an argument.
The assault happened at around 2am when the man intervened in a dispute between a group of three or four Asian men and a group of white men on the ground floor of the smoking area in the nightclub.
He has told police one of the Asian men attempted to hit him with a beer bottle, but he blocked the blow and punched him back in self-defence.
The man then used the bottle to strike him across the head several times.
He was taken to hospital where he was treated for deep cuts to the head and face and bruising, and possible internal bleeding to the right eye.
The attacker was described as being Asian, in his early 20s, around 6ft tall, well built, clean shaven, and was wearing a dark v-neck t-shirt.
PC Jan Timberlake, who is investigating the assault, said: “This was a vicious and cowardly attack where a man has used a bottle to inflict as much harm as he could to his victim.
“I would like to speak to anyone who was at Tramps on Monday night-Tuesday morning and either saw this assault or who has information about who those involved may be.”
Anyone with information should call the police on 101 or contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 quoting the reference number 130s 12/03/13.
