THE MAGIC of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast is being recreated on stage by Evesham Operatic and Dramatic Society this week.
The show features all the classic songs from the Disney films, performed by an array of colourful characters including the beautiful Belle and the enchanted servants of the Beast such as Cogsworth, the uptight carriage clock, and the debonair candlestick, Lumiére.
Gemma Haddrell stars as Belle in her first leading role for EODS while Dean Bayliss returns to play the Beast.
Director Alison Roberts said: “Directing this show has been such an enjoyable experience, after all, it’s not often you get to work with dancing napkins, spinning plates and muscle-bound handsome villains.”
Beauty and the Beast runs at Evesham Arts Centre from Wednesday to Saturday, March 20 to 23 at 7.30pm and Saturday and Sunday, March 23 and 24 at 2.30pm.
Tickets are available online at eveshamartscentre.co.uk or by calling 01386 446944.
