A MAN has been charged with a burglary in Worcester this week.
Between 5pm and 7.15pm on Tuesday (March 5), a house on Henwick Road was broken into after a rear window was forced using a spade taken from the garden shed.
The house was searched, but it appears the intruder left in a hurry when the homeowner came home, and all that was stolen was some loose change.
Alex Warden, aged 39 and of no fixed abode, was arrested and charged with the offence yesterday.
He appeared at Worcester Magistrates’ Court today and was remanded in custody to appear at the same court in a week’s time.
A second man who was arrested along with Warden was released without charge yesterday afternoon.
