A MAN has been arrested in connection with a fatal car crash near Kidderminster which left a woman dead.
The crash on the A449 at Cookley in the early hours of December 8, claimed the life of Sam Jennings, aged 26, from Kingswinford.
She was a front seat passenger in a black Vauxhall Astra which left the road and hit a tree, near the Island Pool pub.
The male driver was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham with serious injuries, while a male rear seat passenger was taken to the Worcestershire Royal Hospital in Worcester with minor injuries.
A 22-year-old Stourbridge man was arrested on Wednesday, March 6, on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, driving while unfit through drink or drugs, and possessing cannabis.
He has been released on police bail until May 13, pending further inquiries.
