STUDENTS at Pershore High School will be bringing a classic Charles Dickens novel to life in a production next week.
A cast of more than 60 pupils from all years will be taking part in the musical Oliver, based on the original adaptation by Lionel Bart.
The play follows the story of a young lad taken in by pickpocketing street urchins, who finds himself caught up in a life of crime.
An orchestra of school musicians will perform the productions hits, including Food, Glorious Food, Consider Yourself and You’ve Got to Pick a Pocket or Two.
The show opens on Thursday and runs for three days. Tickets are available from the school office and cost £5 for adults and £4 concessions.
