A taste of the Orient came to Great Malvern Primary School when pupils celebrated Chinese new year.
Children in the reception class held a specially assembly for the rest of the school, as well as parents and staff, in which they formed a 35ft dragon procession and year three pupil Becky Ye told the story of Chinese new year. The children then led a lantern procession and sang a traditional Chinese song.
Stuart Kent, foundation stage co-ordinator at the school, said: “Multiculturalism is a massive part of school life at Great Malvern Primary.”
