A TEENAGER was flown to hospital after he suffered pelvis, back and wrist injuries in a motocross accident.
Paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service were called to the motocross track in Warndon, Worcester, shortly before 1.45pm yesterday to reports a 17-year-old boy had fallen 10ft.
An ambulance, a senior paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham attended.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Crews were called to a motocross rider who had reportedly fallen approximately 10ft from a jump.
“The teenage boy, believed to be 17 years of age, was treated for multiple injuries to his pelvis, back, shoulder and wrist. He was fully immobilised and given pain relief at the scene.
“The motorcross rider was transferred via land ambulance to the awaiting air ambulance, which had landed on a nearby rugby pitch. The teenager was airlifted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham for further assessment and specialist treatment.
“The hospital was pre-alerted to the arrival of the teenager and his injuries.”
