TWO parishioners have crafted a debut album by blending different styles with their musical friends.
Pershore’s the Kingdom Lines started life when Simon Meek and Adrian Bean, who both attend the town’s community church, began playing guitar and singing together a few years ago.
Their song-writing began naturally and after enlisting professional drummer Tim Scarborough, of Bewdley, they started recording Standing in the Very Presence of the Lord last year.
They have created a brand of alternative Christian worship music and the album will be available on iTunes and as an Amazon MP3 download from Sunday, March 10.
The album also features Worcester’s Lexie Stobie, a chorister who has appeared on BBC’s Songs of Praise, and members of the Avonbank Brass Band along with spoken word sections and string arrangements.
