MORE than 500 homes will be built on Offenham Road in Evesham after the latest application related to the plans was given the thumbs-up.
Wychavon District Council's planning committee approved a reserved matters application, which deals with details such as layout and scale, at a meeting this afternoon, meaning the 502 homes now have the go-ahead.
Members of the planning committee approved the proposals with eight votes in favour, one against and five abstentions. Outline planning permission for the scheme had already been given at an earlier meeting.
Meanwhile, at the same meeting this afternoon a reserved matters application for 43 homes at Allesborough Farm, Pershore, was unanimously refused.
Members were voting on details such as the percentage of affordable housing contained in the development, access points and open space, with the outline permissions already having been given.
