WORKMEN from the Canal and Rivers Trust have been out on the Severn this week to remove debris left by the recent flooding.
The workers were clearing tree branches which had accumulated under the main bridge across the river at Worcester, and also around the base of the pillar of the railway viaduct.
Joe Coggins of the trust said: “Keeping waterways navigable to boat traffic is one of the trust’s main priorities, so as soon as the l flood levels go down, we’re out there making sure the rivers are clear.”
