FANS of David Bowie will be able to enjoy a musical midnight feast to mark the release of his long-awaited album.
Carnival Records, on Great Malvern's Church Street, will open for an hour as the clock strikes 12 on Sunday, March 10 to allow fans of the starman to pick up a copy of The Next Day.
The record is Bowie’s first full-length release of new studio material in 10 years.
Rachel Heard, co-owner of Carnival Records, said: “The release of a David Bowie album after such a long hiatus is a major event, and we wanted to do something special to mark it.
“We’re expecting a few hardcore Bowie fans coming in to pick up the CD at a minute past midnight.
"We know from talking to our customers that there is a lot of excitement about it. There is a real sense of expectation around this album.”
The album is released on standard CD and a limited edition deluxe CD featuring three extra tracks and a poster.
It will also be issued on a vinyl LP format, two weeks later.
