WEST Mercia Police has made an appeal to trace an elderly man with dementia who has gone missing in Worcester.
Joseph Lilly, aged 76, of Heron Close, off Bromwich Road, went missing from his home at about 1pm today and has not been seen since.
Mr Lilly is white, 5ft 9ins tall, medium build and has white receding hair.
He is thought to be wearing a black coat, black trousers and a grey cap.
He also wears black-rimmed glasses and distinctively is missing some of his fingers from both hands.
Sgt Brian Simpkins from Worcester Police Station said: “It appears Mr Lilly has wandered off and because of his mental health problems, and other underlying health issues, we are very concerned about his welfare.
“He has now been missing for some hours, so I would appeal for everyone to keep an eye out for Mr Lilly, particularly those in the south of Worcester and travelling on the roads further out toward the likes of Powick and Kempsey.”
Anyone with information should call police on the non-emergency number 101.
