A MAN has been charged with committing a serious knife assault in a pub last year.
Pierre O’Shaughnessy, aged 31 of no fixed address, was charged by West Mercia Police with grievous bodily harm with intent in relation to an incident at Chancers, Vine Street, Evesham, at 11.25pm on Wednesday, December 19 where a member of staff was assaulted by a man armed with a knife and received a serious wound to his hand and forearm.
He appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court on Saturday and was remanded into custody to appear at Worcester Crown Court on May 28 when he is due to enter a plea.
O’Shaughnessy, who is also known as Peter, was arrested by officers from Merseyside Police at an address in Halewood on Wednesday, January 23.
He was initially charged with robbery by Cheshire Police and remanded into custody after a man was robbed of his car at knifepoint in November.
