PLANS to transform a business site into a residential development will be discussed this week.
The owners of Malvern Gates Business Park, off Bromwich Road, Lower Wick, Worcester, are proposing to transform the former headquarters of Severn Trent Water into a plot for 46 family homes, including two, three and four-bedroom houses.
A publication consultation event will take place between 2.30-7pm on Thursday at the Age UK office on the business park ahead of a planning application being submitted in April.
Colin Griffiths from Satnam, representing the owners, said: “The business park is surrounded by established residential development and we feel our proposals will be a more appropriate use of the land.
“The building is the former headquarters of the water authority, and as a 1960s/70s-built building requires a lot of maintenance and does not provide the modern, flexible space available in newer and more modern office developments nearby and elsewhere in Worcester.”
He added: “We are keen to hear what people think about our proposals, and would urge anyone interested to come along on Thursday and view our proposals.”
Members of the project team will be on hand to discuss the proposals and answer questions.
