A BAND which is not just a legendary name in British music but also a link to the classic days of rock and folk music come to Worcester this weekend.
Steeleye Span’s careers has taken in an astounding six decades and they will bring all this experience to the Swan Theatre from 7.30pm on Sunday, March 10.
Contemporaries of the likes of Led Zeppelin and Fairport Convention, they have changed the face of folk music by taking it from small clubs and festivals into the world of chart topping albums and international tours.
Now established as a six-piece they have the luxury of 20 albums’ worth of material to chose from, delivering familiar classics, gems and new tracks.
