AN event billed as Malvern’s number one party will draw the crowds for charity next weekend.
The SCO-FAM Jam at Malvern Cube, Albert Road North, bringing together some of the town’s best musical talent in aid of Scope and Oxfam from 7pm until midnight on Saturday, March 9.
On the line-up is veteran guitarist, singer and songwriter Vo Fletcher who has played in numerous local bands as well as stepping out as a solo artist to perform acoustic blues and folk numbers as well as some of his own compositions.
Singer-songwriter Sam Eden will also be stepping out with a combination of powerful vocals, engaging lyrics, intricate piano melodies and delicate guitar styles to create something that falls somewhere between folk, rock, pop and ballad.
Raucous indie pop band Atoms may be based in Cardiff but has members who hail from Malvern and their music channels the energy and passion of classic british bands, spiced with a modern vibe.
Reference points include Dexy’s Midnight Runners, the Arctic Monkey’s and the Zutons.
Lewis Boulton has been playing since the age of 4, brought up on a rich diet of rock and blues and his music reflects his eclectic tastes, covering a wide range of acoustic styles.
His set will be formed of thoughtful lyrics, powerful vocals and foot-tapping guitar.
The event will also feature special guests with a barbecue from 9pm and a licenced bar.
Tickets are £3 in advance from the Nags Head, Malvern, the Swan Inn, Newland, and the Chase Inn, Upper Colwall, or £5 on the door.
