THE magic of Queen will be recreated in a way you have never heard before.

She Will Rock You occupy the unique position as the UK’s one and only female fronted tribute act and they will perform all the songs in the key they were originally written at the Marr’s Bar, Pierpont Street, tonight (Friday, February 15).

Stacy Green fills the shoes of Freddie Mercury, or Freda Mercury in this case, and is said to have an inner rock having learnt her trade listening to the man himself and Brian May on guitars.

Classing herself as “a bit of a belter” and drawing regular comparisons to Cher, she has been performing for more than 15 years and is hoping to prove that Freda really is the Queen of rock.

Her band features drummer Steve Black and guitarist Elliot Gavin of the Midlands-based tribute to Led Zeppelin, Fred Zeppelin who formed back in 1993 along with Mark Creswell on bass.

All of them have roots in live rock music, having done the rounds in various bands on the live music circuit before combining their talents for the current project that promises to bring something new to the tribute band experience.

To date they have already taken much of the West Midlands by storm, even being named as the best Queen tribute act in the region.

Doors open at 8.30pm and tickets are £5 in advance or £7 on the door.
