THE CAST of a Worcestershire theatre’s forthcoming production of Calendar Girls have posed for a Christmas card to raise money for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research – the same charity that benefitted from the original calendar.
The cast of 10 women will star in the play at Droitwich’s Norbury Theatre. It is based on the true story of 11 members of the WI who posed nude for a calendar to raise money in memory of John Baker, the husband of one of the women, who died from leukaemia.
The Christmas cards go on sale from next week from the Old Cock Inn, Friar Street, opposite the theatre.
Calendar Girls runs at the Norbury Theatre for two weeks from Wednesday, March 6, before transferring to the Conquest Theatre, Bromyard. For more details, visit norburytheatre.co.uk or call the box office on 01905 770154.
