NEWELL John Goss (The Major) Passed away unexpectedly, surrounded by family on Thursday 24th August 2023 at St Richard's Hospice aged 80 years. Devoted husband to Lynne. Dearly loved father to Simon and Ian. Treasured grandfather. Funeral service to take place at Worcester Crematorium on Thursday 14th September at 12:15pm. Family flowers only please. Donations, if so desired, will be gratefully received for St Richard's Hospice. Many thanks to St Richard's Hospice and staff for their wonderful support and care.Tributes

Dear Lynne, Simon and Ian, Michael and I were saddened to read about John. We will always remember him as a gentleman, both on and off the cricket pitch. We cannot be with you next week, to celebrate John's life but please accept our sincere condolences. With kind regards Michael and Barbara Washbourne
