Dorothy Joan Booth

I am very sorry to hear Dorothy passed away I have only just found out, she passed away 5 days before my mother who live further down. I met Dorothy when I was 8 years old and she taught me so much about plants and was very kind in offering plants such as evening primrose, marigolds and mint. I still have those plants from the same strain given to me in 1996. She taught me so much about gardening and talked about her family experiences during the war. I was fascinated how she was decent as well as blunt. Most people seemed uneasy, rude and even insulting around non white people back then in 90s but she talked to me like a human being. My condolences to the family including Shane who I met briefly and attended secondary school few years above him.
