Thriller Live opened in Bristol on Monday evening wowing a packed house who were treated to a celebration of the music of the Jackson 5 and Michael Jackson that has spanned four decades.
The songs were delivered by five lead vocalists - 4 boys and a girl whose voices varied greatly, tonight was not about the voice - anyway Jacko is irreplaceable. Of the five my favourite was Cleopatra Higgins who had a fabulous vocal range and delivered her songs with what felt like a genuine pride and passion.
Simply sensational were the amazing dancers who produced a dazzling spectacular of flicks, kicks, twists, turns, acrobatics and routines - director and choreographer Gary Lloyd is to be congratulated.
Moon Walking is synonymous with Michael tonight the male dancers did him proud.
Musical director and guitar 1 Andy Chisholm lead the excellent 6 piece band..
No matter what your age MJ has touched generations as was evident in the auditorium, my guest was more than 30 years younger than me and yet knew every song.
Thriller Live is a full on production delivering 30 plus songs that included Smooth Criminal, Man in the Mirror, Billie Jean, Bad and Thriller.
As it said in the programme: Michael Jackson - Gone too Soon.
Runs until Saturday, 5th October.
