Passion. History. Sorrow. Hope.
What do these four things have in common?
The answer is that they are all brought to life in the exciting Irish and Music Dance show Celtic Dream.
Packed with sensational and thrilling movements, choreographed by leading dancers Kevin Murray and Jenny Bailey, Celtic Dream tells no story but instead evokes the traditional feel of ancient Ireland combined with modern music and juxtaposed with such popular Irish ballads as Danny Boy, Galway Girl and The Irish Rover.
Whilst the show is traditionally led by the three Dream Tenors, Aaron O’Hare, Brian McNamee and John Ward, the opening night show, at Worcester’s Swan Theatre, sadly saw McNamee without his partners; however the show more than made up for this by employing the wonderfully talented Emer McParland at the last minute.
With dancing and singing worthy of the company of Riverdance, the only dampener in such a bright show was the use of the song Country Road, but even this was made unique by McParland and did little to ruin the opening night of the show.
All in all, Celtic Dream is a phenomenal experience and the perfect way to spend an evening right before St Patrick’s Day.
