CHRIS Smith will miss Worcester City's next Nationwide North match after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season.
Smith, currently playing with his broken hand in a cast, will serve a one-match ban after being booked in the 90th-minute of last Friday's 3-2 defeat against Harrogate Town.
The 25-year-old's suspension comes into effect 14 days after the incident and forces him out of the trip to Hucknall Town on Saturday week.
Manager Andy Preece said: "He was going to get one eventually so with this injury it probably couldn't have been timed better really because it's difficult playing with the cast on.
"He's got an injury so we need to get that right. It will give him that extra bit of time to recover. When he comes back he will be close to having the cast off."
Smith is the fifth City player to receive a ban this term following red cards for Craig Wilding, Adam Burley and Mark Danks on top of Des Lyttle's in pre-season.
