WORCESTER Wolves point-guard Will Funn has left the club ahead of tomorrow night’s home British Basketball League Championship game with Worthing Thunder at the University of Worcester (7pm).
The American has moved on following a disciplinary investigation, but Wolves are declining to comment on the situation.
However, Wolves’ player-coach Skouson Harker is hoping to unveil a new signing in time for Friday’s game.
Worthing coach Gary Smith is unsure what to expect from Wolves because of Funn’s departure.
He said: “I understand that their point-guard has gone, so they will have a different look about them, which makes it a little tougher for us to prepare for the game.
“However, all the matches between us this year have been high-scoring affairs so we know we are going to have to go there with our ‘A’ game.”
Harker said: “Worthing are dangerous right now as they are a few games out of the play-offs, so they will be giving it their all."
