Worcester News statement re coverage of Worcester Raiders

Unfortunately, coverage of Worcester Raiders FC in the Worcester News will be limited for the foreseeable future.

This follows a decision by the club to exclude the Worcester News from their home games.

We have been informed that the club has made the decision to no longer engage with us.

Stephanie Preece, Newsquest's regional group editor for Gloucestershire, Stourbridge and Worcestershire, said: "In recent years we have been really excited to report on Raiders’ success story and it’s disappointing for us that this will cease to be the case.

“It’s great news for sports fans that we have lots of successful local clubs on our patch and we do our best to report on as many as we can with the resources we have available – because we think they are a vital part of our community.

"We look forward to continuing to report on local sport and our door remains open to all local clubs who wish to engage constructively with us."
