MANAGER John Snape is looking forward to polishing potential “diamond” and new Worcester City signing Jordan Harrison.
The flexible attacker has agreed terms to join from West Midlands (Regional) League outfit Cradley Town where he had a big impact at the back end of last season.
Harrison, formerly with Kidderminster Harriers as a youngster, scored 11 goals in 15 matches from the start of March and caught the eye of scout Aaron White.
Snape revealed White’s ringing endorsement had been backed up by players, prompting his swoop for the hot prospect.
“Jordan comes highly recommended, particularly for his passion, desire and will to progress in the game,” said Snape.
“He worked hard and stood out for Cradley last season and he is the type of talent we are always looking to pick up and work with.
“Again, Jordan can play in a variety of positions which will be important. Any team needs the ability to mix things up and change the play in matches and that’s the sort of player we are looking to in attacking areas.
“He could be a diamond for us, one that with a bit of polishing could have a big impact.”
Meanwhile, ex-City striker Mark Danks has now opted not to sign for Black Country Rangers having been offered a role as player-assistant manager at Stourport Swifts under new boss Quentin Townsend.
