PLANS are coming together to make the third Upton Music Festival more of a family affair.
The event returns to Fish Meadow from Friday to Sunday, August 23-25 with more incentives for families and traders to get involved.
The first 50 local businesses and charities to apply will get a free place in the trading village and a new variety tent will host hourly activities for all the family.
Acts already confirmed include Bucks Fizz, Alexander O’Neal and local celebrity Toyah Wilcox, as well as a DJ set from Pat Sharp, while a grand firework display will bring the celebrations to a close for the whole town at 9.15pm on the Sunday.
West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin, who attended the festival’s official launch, said: “Upton has a reputation for running successful music festivals and many people travel from far and wide. I welcome this year’s plans to involve local traders and I hope that the whole town will be able to benefit from this event.
“Let’s hope for good weather this summer.”
