THE former wife of a man jailed for sending her "sickening" threats has spoken out about her life of fear.
William McDermott was sentenced to four months in prison after sending Sarah MacLeod a string of abusive text messages and e-mails.
Worcester Magistrates Court heard the 50-year-old had 17 previous convictions for offences including grievous bodily harm, actual bodily harm, common assault and battery.
District judge Bruce Morgan was told McDermott had even confided in his former wife that he had murdered his 10-year-old brother, whose body was found chopped up in 1973.
The judge said one particular e-mail sent by McDermott was "one of the most disgusting, sickening documents I have ever seen." Miss MacLeod told your Worcester News her home is now a fortress and her children lived in fear of their lives.
