A CHINOOK helicopter was forced to make an unscheduled landing in Tenbury Wells, an MOD spokesman has confirmed.
The pilot is believed to have spotted a hydraulic fault during a flight at around 5pm last night. The helicopter, which landed in a field, is still being assessed by engineers.
The helicopter was on a routine training mission from RAF Odiham near Basingstoke and was manned by an RAF crew.
An MOD spokesman said the landing was a routine precautionary landing rather than an emergency landing.
She said: "The Chinook experienced problems with the hydraulics and landed in a field. Engineers are currently investigating or assessing the incident and will recover the aircraft as soon as possible. Nobody was injured."
