TRIBUTES have poured in for a popular city dentist who was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident.

Father-of-two John Bue was involved in a crash on the A4440 between Powick and Rushwick at about 5pm on Wednesday.

He was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital but pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

Many of Mr Bue’s friends and family have spoken of their shock and devastation at the death and said the fanatical Liverpool FC supporter will be sadly missed.

Worcester city councillor Margaret Layland, who helped Mr Bue set up the NHS Green Dental Practice, in Gresham Road, Dines Green, in 2002, said the whole community is in shock.

"I am absolutely devastated and the whole community is as well,” she said. “My heart goes out to his family.

“For a person of his stature to invest in Dines Green was absolutely fantastic, it is an awful, awful loss for everybody.

“He believed in Worcester, he believed in Dines Green and believed in free healthcare for everybody.

“He was a great friend, a great colleague and was a great bloke who was always friendly and jolly.”

Friends Roy and Lisa Shone, said: “What a great guy, he was passionate about his job and even more passionate about Liverpool FC.
