A ROMANY gipsy camp has been set up on the outskirts of Worcester.
Three bow-topped wagons pitched up at the Norton roundabout on the A4440.
The group is providing an interesting view for passing motorists, with camp fire burning and piebald ponies munching the grass.
And, although residents have called to let police know they are there, West Mercia Police say they expect no problems from the group, as it has a good reputation.
Inspector Janet Heritage, police commander for Worcester, said: “People like to see them as they are true Romany gipsies and we’ve had positive comments about them already.
“The facts are that they do keep a tidy site and they clean up after themselves.
“They’ll be there probably for a couple of days and then move on.
“We never have any problems with them.”
