A MAN was knocked off his bike by a car as he rode to work in the early hours of the morning.
Police want to trace the driver of a car, thought to be a white Vauxhall Astra or similar, in Harvington near Evesham at about 5am on Monday, June 14.
The rider in his 20s was cycling to work towards Evesham when his BMX bike was in collision with a car, causing him to fall off.
The car carried on going without stopping.
The injured man walked home but suffered “nasty” cuts and grazes which needed stitching at the Alexandra Hospital, Redditch.
PC Joanne Mayo-Evans, investigating, said: “This man has been left very shocked and shaken by this incident.
“We are appealing for any witnesses who saw the collision or a car matching the description given around the time given.
“I would also to appeal for the driver of this car, or anyone who knows the identity of the driver, to contact police immediately.”
Anyone with information should call police on 0300 333 3000, quoting 176/S/140610, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
