AN AMBER weather warning has been issued for Worcestershire with more heavy rain expected.
The Met Office has confirmed the amber warning will be in place from 6pm tonight (Thursday) until 6am tomorrow.
The heavy rain is likely to cause flooding and transport disruption this evening and overnight.
The weather warning will be in place for Worcester, Malvern, Evesham, Droitwich, Bromsgrove, Redditch and Kidderminster.
A yellow weather warning for rain is currently in place.
It is expected spray and heavy flooding will lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures, with homes and businesses likely to be flooded.
Delays, some cancellations to train and bus services and power cuts are all likely.
The county has been battered by heavy rainfall over the past week, with flood alerts being issued for several rivers.
Slow-moving showers and thunderstorms will develop through the afternoon, merging into a large band of heavy rain through the evening, before clearing slowly south overnight.
Some places are likely to receive 30-40mm of rain in around three hours, with an unlucky few areas seeing 50-60mm or more in around six hours.
