A CARING five-year-old boy is bidding to raise more money with his latest charity challenge next month.
Teddie Goddard, a year one pupil at Orchard Primary School in Pershore, is doing a sponsored PAW Patrol on a Stroll with his puppy Missy to support the Dogs Trust.
His aim is to walk 15 miles for the trust on the weekends of October 12 and 13 and 26 and 27.
Teddie’s proud mother Lizzie Goddard said: “Teddie is a caring little boy who thinks of other people.
“He loves helping people and making sure they are OK.
“He is also very fond of animals and wants to make a difference.”
The Dogs Trust is a leading dog welfare charity which cares for around 12,500 of the animals every year through its network of 22 rehoming centres across the UK and Ireland.
Lizzie continued: “Teddie has done multiple different sponsored events.
“He raised an amazing £800 for CIN (Children in Need) over a two-year period and walked 14 miles last year.
“Teddie has also raised money for Larsen’s Pride, a charity supporting children with brain tumours, when he did their Slideathon at Easter and he is now doing this.
“Teddie now has a puppy called Missy, loves PAW Patrol and saw the opportunity to raise money for the Dogs Trust while walking his dog.
“He was super-excited about this and wanted me to put his name down.
“We have set out some dates in October as it’s any time from 1 to 31. We have set two separate weekends to complete as many miles as possible.
“Teddie has also decided that he wants to bake PAW Patrol cakes for people and also dog cakes. He has aimed to try to beat the number of miles he did for Children in Need.
"Teddie wants to aim for 15 miles this time but with his dog.
“He has set a target of £150 but with lovely encouragement from people he is on the way to exceeding this.”
