A primary school has been described as a "beacon of excellence" in its latest Ofsted report.
Great Witley CE Primary School had their 'Good' status reaffirmed during their latest Ofsted inspection, with the report noting that the status could be upgraded to 'Outstanding' should a graded inspection occur.
Ungraded Ofsted inspections are carried out for schools which achieved a minimum of 'Good' in their last graded inspection to see if they remain so. Ofsted has confirmed that Great Witley's next inspection will be graded.
The school's headteacher, Kate Ramsey, said: "We are all absolutely thrilled with this judgement that recognises the fantastic education being delivered at Great Witley."
Following the school's inspection in May, the Ofsted report described pupil's behaviour as "exemplary" whilst it also highlighted Great Witley's mental health initiatives which have produced a supportive and family-orientated atmosphere.
Ofsted also remarked on the promptness of the school's Special Educational Needs and/or Disability (SEND) support, adding that "this quick response to pupils’ needs makes sure that all pupils achieve highly".
The report also remarked that "the school is well led", and Kate Ramsey said: "We have an amazing team of committed professionals, the most supportive families and more importantly, we have a fantastic group of children who work hard and are great ambassadors of our school.
"We could not do any of this without them! This Ofsted judgement is a testament to the collective effort of everyone involved."
Great Witley is part The Rivers CE Multi Academy Trust, a group of 16 primary and nursery schools spread across Worcestershire, Dudley, and Sandwell.
The trust's 'STARS' values (Sharing, Trust, Achievement, Respect, Safety) are designed to empower teachers and pupils, and the Ofsted report states that children and adults at Great Witley model these values "exceptionally well".
CEO of The Rivers CofE Multi Academy Trust, Matt Meckin, said: "Great Witley is a brilliant school with an even brighter future on the horizon.
"We are really proud of the way that pupils respond to the excellent, holistic education that leaders and staff provide."
A graded inspection is expected within the next two years.
