A LARGE farm vehicle was on fire as crews rushed to the scene to put out the blaze.

The incident, which involved a farm telehandler, happened at Rushock near Droitwich at 9.31am on Sunday.

A spokesperson for Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said: "A crew from Droitwich Fire Station was called to a large vehicle on fire in Rushock, Droitwich.

"A farm telehandler was well alight in the open and extinguished by two fire fighters wearing breathing apparatus and using one hosereel jet.

"The surrounding area was dampened down and a thermal imaging camera was used to check for hot spots. There were no casualties and no other emergency services were required. The incident was marked as pending closure at 11.15am."
