One of the city’s biggest employers wants to build a new security gatehouse at its factory in Warndon.
Worcester Bosch employs about 1,300 people at its 5.1 hectare site accessed from Ebrington Drive.
Plans for a new site entrance gatehouse have been submitted to the city council.
The proposal includes extending the current security fence, integrating vehicle barrier control and having a gatehouse staffed around-the-clock.
Pedestrians and motorists would use separate windows to enter the site.
Planning documents say the gatehouse would have a shelter to protect staff during bad weather and would be far enough from the road not to impact highway safety.
