A group of Malvern-based care homes are set to host its first Craft Fayre.

Davenham, Perrins House and Bradbury Court, which are collectively known as The Friends of the Elderly Malvern, have announced that their inaugural community Craft Fayre will take place on Saturday (May 11).

The event will run from 10am until 2pm, and will be hosted in the historic Davenham main building.

It is free to attend and promises to offer a wide range of stalls, selling everything from handmade items to unique jewellery.

Jo Bennett, the general manager at the care homes, said: "The community response to take stalls at the Craft Fayre has been amazing.

"We have a great range of stalls taking part including a Bottle Stall, Bric-A-Brac Stalls, stalls selling handmade and unique jewellery, gifts, cards and make-up."

In addition to a rich selection of crafted gifts, attendees can also expect a spread from the cakes and pastries stand and a Retro Sweet Cart.

Fun activities and competitions have also been arranged for fair-goers.

Tina Ellenton, the activities coordinator at Davenham, said: "A Face Painter will also be at the Fayre, for children – and adults alike – to have their faces adorned with beautiful and creative designs, and a raft of competitions to take part in.

"We have a Tombola with terrific prizes and some fun competitions too.

"There will be a few raffles, Guess the Weight of the Cake, Name a Bear and Guess How Many Sweets Are In The Jar as well – so lots of fun things for everyone to enjoy."

Ms Bennett added: "Our residents, their families, our community friends and our care team, are all looking forward to our community Craft Fayre.

"It’s shaping up to be a real treat for everyone.

"We hope everyone will have a great time on May 11 and I’m looking forward to welcoming new visitors, seeing friends and meeting more of our supportive community at what is promising to be an event, not to be missed."
