DARTS sensation Luke Littler's recent rise to fame has played a key factor in a Worcester venue enjoying its busiest period yet.

The Dart Side, which is based on Angel Place in Worcester, first opened back in 2022 by owners Mike Davis and Dan Charlton.

It took over the building that has seen many businesses come and go over the years, including Angel Chef Chinese buffet and JAX Bar and Grill.

But it now finally seems that the almost 100-year-old building is home to a business that will be around for quite a while yet, as it is in the midst of a popular phase.

Dart Side features a series of fun activities that certainly won't leave you underwhelmed.

As well as interactive dartboards, there are pool tables, shuffleboards and a food and drinks bar.

"We have been absolutely rammed since Christmas," said Dart Side interim general manager Emily Brimmell.

"Everyone knows who we are now so it's amazing to see so many people come through the doors.

"It's different to just going out and having a drink with friends because there's so much more to do here.

"It's also been nice to see families coming and hanging out to enjoy what we have to offer."

Darts is currently enjoying a rise in popularity thanks to the recent exploits of 17-year-old Luke Littler.

Miss Brimmell did not mince her words at how much of an influence Littler had had on Dart Side welcoming in more customers.

"100% it has played a part.

"We have seen younger lads coming to play, which is nice because it is regularly adults that are coming through the door.

"It has definitely brought younger people to play darts."

With Dart Side now in a purple patch, what is the aim for the business going forward?

"Growth is the aim, I think," said Miss Brimmell.

"We are happy growing and expanding. We will definitely have more events on and we offer private hire.

"We have food and drink for everyone to enjoy, of course, from pizzas to garlic bread and plenty of refreshments.

"The owners are 100% happy with how things are going. I think since this busy period we have really turned a corner in becoming more established in Worcester."

Dart Side is open six days a week from Tuesday to Sunday.
